These black reusable overnight period pads are a great introduction to zero waste periods. An eco-friendly alternative to disposable menstrual pads, they are suitable as overnight pads, for heavy flow, or as a backup to a menstrual cup.

Each large pad is approx. 13" long - designed to offer piece of mind and security particularly when worn overnight. The pads have a wider section at the back to help prevent leaks when lying down.

Choose from one pad, or a set of three (which includes a discount).

Switching to reusable period pads is a simple way for you to save money and have a more eco-friendly time of the month. All pads come with a welcome leaflet with more information on your reusable pads, including care instructions. The pads are made from fluffy white bamboo terry, with an absorbent microfibre core and a waterproof PUL fabric backing in black.

TO USE: The white toweling goes against your skin, and the black side against your underwear, snapping closed with the adjustable poppers. Each reusable pad is made from soft bamboo terry with a PUL backing to ensure there are no leaks, and a super absorbent microfibre core. Also suitable for use as incontinence pads.

NOTE: Reusable pads don't have the adhesive strip of disposable pads, so they need to be used slightly differently. The type of underwear you wear them with can make all the difference for helping to keep them in place without glue! Choose close fitting, wide gusset underwear which the pad can snugly wrap around to keep it in place. For more advice on making the switch, see our complete guide to reusable menstrual pads.

Fold the soiled pad in half and place in a wet bag until you are ready to wash at the end of your period. You may want to use a net bag to keep the pads together in the wash. Do a cold rinse cycle first, before adding in some laundry detergent. Do not use fabric softener as this can make the pads repel liquid. Wash at 40ºC and air dry (you can tumble dry but this may slightly reduce the lifespan of the pads, and cause minor shrinkage). To  minimise staining, you can use a natural stain remover such as baking soda. Sunlight is also a free, eco-friendly stain remover!
