Each bag is made from 100% organic cotton and at a generous 30 x 38cm, they easily accomodate a large loaf. Making the switch to reusable bread bags not only cuts out needless plastic, but can actually help reduce food waste. Storing bread in a plastic bag (as opposed to a breathable cotton bag) can trap moisture inside the bag, causing the crust to soften and encouraging mold growth. 
 
Each bag comes wrapped in a recycled card "belly band" - like us to leave it off to reduce waste? Just leave a note at checkout.
 
Our bread bags are made from GOTS certified organic cotton - the GOTS license number appears on a label inside each bag. GOTS is a global ‘gold standard’ for textiles, ensuring that production meets specific environmental and social criteria. This includes how cotton is packed and transported; the requirement to use eco-friendly dyes; and crucially that those involved in its production receive a living wage, fair hours, and work in safe conditions
